"What is data science?" Introducing what you can learn at Shimonoseki City University Faculty of Data Science. At the same time, I would like to talk about the outline of the entrance examination (recruitment staff, assignment of university common tests, etc.).

Model Lecture 1 (Business) (Professor Yoshiyuki Matsumoto / prospective dean)

One of the characteristics of our university's Faculty of Data Science is "Business Data Science" in specialized application fields. We will give lectures on business data science in an easy-to-understand manner using SNS as an example. ※The content is the same as the open campus in August.

Another pillar of our Faculty of Data Science's distinctive feature is "Health Data Science" in specialized application fields. Based on the experience of Professor Nakagami, who is conducting joint research with medical schools at other universities, we will give lectures on the relationship between data analysis and healthcare. ※The content is the same as the open campus in August.

Analyzing and utilizing data requires basic knowledge of information and mathematics. At Faculty of Data Science, students acquire a wide range of knowledge about information and programming in the first or second years. I will give a lecture on "Information" in Faculty of Data Science.
