On April 3, 2024, the opening ceremony of Faculty of Data Science was held at the Faculty of Data Science Building (Lecture Block D) of Shimonoseki City University. The President of Korea gave a message of encouragement to 88 new students who became first-year students, and Mayor Maedashimo Seki, who was present as a guest, welcomed and congratulatory words.

In addition, each faculty member of Faculty of Data Science introduced their subjects and fields of specialization, the new students were nervous, but they were excited about the lectures and research that would begin.
