I decided to go on to study at Shimonoseki City University, which can gain knowledge of the local economy and society in addition to economics such as finance and the economic situation in Japan, so I thought that I could use it in the future dream of local government employees.
One of the most impressive lectures is "regional theory," which investigates how to maintain local communities in a society with a declining birthrate and aging population. The content of the decline of the town heard in this lecture overlaps with the depopulated local now, where local events are almost gone due to aging, and it is very heavy for me who wants to revitalize the local area someday I was stabbed. Because of the Department of Economics, I learn about the region and strive to have a multifaceted perspective so that I can develop policies and town development suited to the region in the future.
In addition, Shimonoseki City University has a support system for each individual since teachers can easily ask questions through small-group lectures. There are also Career Center Division and counseling rooms, so you can learn in a fulfilling environment for each future.
Japan's debt has exceeded 1000 trillion yen. One of the factors behind the huge debt in Japan is the low tax revenue. Interestingly, it can be seen from international comparisons that the actual tax burden is light, but the Japanese feel that the tax burden is heavy as a sense. Why do Japanese people have such resistance? It is related to "the lack of real feeling that taxes are used for what they need." In other words, in order to alleviate the resistance, it is necessary to "make the common needs of people."
