We use various things and services to live our daily lives.
　It is the economic system that adjusts the allocation of goods in society as a whole. Many regions, including Japan, are trying to operate society smoothly by making direct and indirect corrections in the event that problems arise, directly and indirectly, in the event of problems. Department of Economics learns the distribution of resources for society as a whole.
　On the other hand, turning to a specific organization, such as a company or organization, each organization considers the allocation of various management resources to achieve its objectives. People with diverse occupations are trying to provide products and services to customers and provide new value to society by providing products and services. Department of International Commerce learns about the management and business of such organizations.
　In Department of Public Management, you will learn about the resource allocation mechanism of society as a whole and the knowledge of organizational management and commercial transactions, as well as knowledge of public policy, such as law, politics, and administration. You can think about social issues and their solutions from a wide range of perspectives, and acquire the ability to contribute to the realization of a better society from the standpoint of each person.
　Shimonoseki City University Faculty of Economics learns about economic, organizational and social mechanisms through these three subjects. Students who have studied basic subjects in each department will select and study applied subjects themselves. By creating our own educational programs and gaining the experience they have learned in line with them, we aim to develop highly professionals who can respond to new issues that have never been experienced before.
