Symposium commemorating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Whale Archives of Shimonoseki City University was held

On October 28, 2017 (Saturday), a symposium commemorating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Whale Archives of Shimonoseki City University was held at the International Conference Center on the 10th floor of the Strait Messe Shimonoseki.

In Part 1, entitled "Exploring the Use of Whale Oil and Future Potentials", received a report from Mitsuhiro Kishimoto, a researcher commissioned by Shimonoseki City University Regional Co-creation Center, followed by Yoshida Sogo Techno Planning and Management Section Manager, Yoshida Sogo Techno Co., Ltd. A symposium was held with Mr. Koji Yoshida and Mr. Yasuhiro Iwata, a specialist researcher at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Industrial Technology Center.

In the second part, under the title of "Shimonoseki's first challenge of track and field aquaculture", Mr. Takashi Joshi, Representative Director of EECL Co., Ltd. Yoshifumi Takahashi, associate professor of Kyushu University Graduate School of Agriculture, and Mr. Yuji Hamada, director of the Regional Co-creation Center attached to Shimonoseki City University Affiliated Regional Co-creation Center Yoshifumi Takahashi and Minato Shimbun China Branch, Ltd.

Approximately 80 participants were listening eagerly, and it was a fruitful symposium.
