Amemisato Shimose (from Saviel High School)
I would like to learn about the issues of the international community from an economic perspective, so I went to Shimonoseki City University. In particular, I was attracted to the substantial development economy and the field of international trade. What I realized when I entered the school was that I was able to work on learning using actual cases and data. In "Development Economics," I learned about the issues and policies of economic development in developing countries, but especially the classes that I consider with examples of factors for economic growth and solutions to poverty in Asian countries were very rewarding because they were suitable for my learning objectives.
In off-campus activities, he served as the director of the International Cooperation Circle called the WSK Circle, and has been involved in various activities such as holding events to interact with international students on campus. We also participated in volunteer activities and supported the operation of local events. Through these experiences, I feel a sense of fulfillment that I was able to deepen practical learning while feeling close to social issues. In the future, we aim to make use of our knowledge of economics learned at universities and to grow into human resources who can demonstrate practical skills in solving social issues while taking a global perspective.
