　Shimonoseki City University has decided to cancel the 59th entrance ceremony, which was scheduled to be held at the University Gymnasium on April 6, 2020 (Monday).

　Our university has been carefully considering the ceremony for the entrance ceremony. However, while there are no signs of convergence in the spread of COVID-19 in Japan and overseas, we decided to cancel the ceremony at the entrance ceremony where students, families and stakeholders gathered from all over the country, taking into account the enormous impact of the event of infected person.

　Considering the feelings of new students and families who are welcome to enter the school on a sunny day, it is a gut feeling, but please understand that we have made such a decision with the highest priority given to ensuring the safety of everyone. Thank you for your understanding.

　In addition, we plan to change or postpone the content of new semester events such as orientation and the start of classes. Details of the schedule will be announced on this site again, so please check it.
