Refund of scholarships after graduation and various procedures

The loan scholarship of the Japan Student Services Organization is loaned by you during your university period and must be returned after graduation. The returned scholarship will be loaned immediately as a junior scholarship, and if the return is not carried out smoothly, it will seriously hinder the junior scholarship loan. Please understand the mechanism of this system, which can only be realized by fulfilling your responsibilities as a scholarship student, and be sure to return it as promised.

Records

  1. Start of Scholarship Return
Return start (first transfer date) is October 27, 2021 (Wednesday). It will be automatically transferred from the completed relay account. (at the end of March 2021)
Check the registered financial institution in advance and be careful not to make a transfer impossible due to insufficient balance.

       ※Notes※

    • Please note that if the return is delayed due to insufficient balance, non-submission of notification, etc., it will be overdue and arrearages will be imposed.
    • If the state of arrears continues, your personal information will be registered with the "Personal Credit Information Institution", and you may not be able to restrict credit card usage, mortgage loans, etc.

  2. About various procedures
If there is a change in the information (address, office, telephone number, etc.) entered in the return pledge, please notify the Japan Student Services Organization using the prescribed format or a dedicated website (Skara Net Personal). If you do not report the change, you may not receive an important notice from the Japan Student Services Organization, etc.

  3. About the advance return
All or part of the installments that have not yet arrived can be refunded early. If you wish to return early, please apply using the prescribed format or a dedicated website (Scala Net Personal).

  4. When it becomes difficult to return
If the scholarship student becomes difficult to return due to economic difficulties, unemployment, illness, disaster, etc., he / she can request a reduction in the installment amount (reduction return) or a postponement of the return deadline.
