On July 25 (Sun), a special summer vacation event for elementary school students and parents living in the city, "Shimonoseki Whale Summer School-Let's learn about whales-" was held twice in the morning and afternoon, sponsored by Shimonoseki City, Cablenet Shimonoseki Co., Ltd. (J: COM Shimonoseki City University) and Shimonoseki City University, supported by Shimonoseki City Board of Education.

　After learning about the ecology of whales from Dr. Kishimoto in a quiz format, we learned about the relationship between Shimonoseki and whales. After the lecture, we toured the model of the mother ship on the first floor of Library and Study Center Building and the skull of sardine whales. Elementary school students raised their hands to answer quizzes, talked about questions and impressions, and participated very actively.
　The elementary school students who participated learned a lot about "Whales" through this event. It was a hot day, but thank you for visiting the university. I hope it will be helpful for free research.
