On July 6 (Wednesday), the Open Lecture for Civic University "Newcomer High School Students' Career Formation-Initiatives at Public High Schools in Osaka and Kanagawa" was held online.

　ISHIKAWA Tomoko, a specially appointed faculty member of the Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization, introduced the current situation of 37,000 students who have moved to Japan due to family circumstances and other factors, as well as efforts to support Newcomer students and parents in various places.

　In the course, a workshop was held assuming "Support for Newcomers who have just arrived in Japan in September and do not understand Japanese, and are preparing to take a high school exam in Japan six months later", and the participants actively exchanged opinions on the desired support for each subject, which was very fruitful.

　This will be the last public lecture for the spring semester of 2022, but we plan to continue open lectures in the fall semester. We will inform you on the website at a later date. We look forward to your participation.
