The 61st Shimonoseki City University University Festival "Maguan Festival" was held on November 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), 2022.

　The event was held for the first time in three years due to the influence of COVID-19 infection. This year, only students and faculty members conducted this year to prevent infection.

　"Because the corona! Shining City University student! Under the slogan, "The distance is far away, the heart is close ~", students who have never experienced the Maguan Festival have begun preparations for the event. In some cases, university festivals that take measures against infection in COVID-19 infection have to be restricted, so I thought about how to realize a fulfilling university festival like a university student.

　On the day of the university festival, many innocent smiles were seen when I was a child in old-fashioned projects such as tanuki and shooting. At the haunted house, I was surprised at the high quality enough to hear the screams outside. In Student Welfare Hall, rakugo vaudeville, live performances, karaoke competitions, dances and performances were held. At the bingo tournament, where people who have won the bingo card around three projects can participate, luxurious prizes were lined up and the venue was a great success.

　Although the university festival was smaller than usual, the campus was crowded with students who seemed to be lively and fun. The student said, "I didn't cheer up on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I heard everyone's cheers and almost came to tears."

　I believe that this Maguan Festival will further increase student exchanges and activities.
