Let's know the essence of Japanese culture!! ~ Journey around Yamaguchi's culture and nature ~

"Let's know the essence of Japanese culture! As part of the development of global human resources, this program has been held since FY 2008 with the aim of encouraging all students, including international students, to become interested in Japanese culture and to gain an understanding of Japanese culture.

　For the first time in 2023, we conducted a bus tour around Yamaguchi on June 24 (Saturday). I visited Ruriko-ji Temple (Yamaguchi City), which is rebuilding the roof once every 70 years, and I was able to hear interesting stories from volunteer guides. Next, we explored a mysterious space at Akiyoshi-do Cave, one of the largest solutional caves in Japan, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery at Akiyoshidai, one of Japan's largest karst plateaus. Finally, we visited Motonosumi-jinja Shrine (Nagato City) where 123 red torii gates lined up toward the Sea of Japan. We visited spots that were difficult to visit using public transportation, and enjoyed the culture and nature of Yamaguchi.
