On July 18 (Tuesday), the "International Joint Research Report Meeting" was held by the City Mirai Creation Strategy Organization.
International joint research is being conducted as a university located in Shimonoseki, a port city, to work together with industry and government to strengthen the functions of international logistics bases and contribute to the development of human resources who are active internationally.
In fiscal 2022, Professor Yuji Takeuchi (Director of the Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization) started research on the theme of "The current situation and future of Shimonoseki City aiming to become a logistics base overseas" in collaboration with Daegu University in Korea, and continues to conduct research this year.
At the debriefing session, Professor Takeuchi presented his results to last year on the possibility of a new route between Japan and South Korea, especially the possibility that Shimonoseki City will become a host city in Japan.
Not only the students and faculty members of the university, but also a large number of citizens, including the Director of the Port and Harbor Bureau of Shimonoseki City, attended the briefing and listened to Professor Takeuchi's presentation.
