About the Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship

The Japan Student Services Organization's scholarships are loaned and paid as financial resources to outstanding students who have difficulty studying for financial reasons, and in the case of loan, they must be returned after completion. .
The types and monthly fees of scholarships are as shown in the table below. (Table 3) is the monthly amount of first-class scholarships when both benefit scholarships and first-class scholarships (interest-free loans) are used. It will be adjusted according to the support category. If you are not eligible due to the review of the support category, the benefit scholarship will be suspended and the monthly amount of the first-class scholarship you originally selected will be transferred.

How to apply

There are two ways to apply for the Japan Student Services Organization scholarship: "reservation recruitment", "recruitment of enrollment", and "recruitment of household budget sudden change". The application period, procedure, and reception desk are different. If you would like to borrow or pay scholarships, please apply as follows.

Reservation recruitment

Application for "before" university entrance

This is a system for applying (reservation) before entering university. You can apply even if you have not decided where to go to school. If you wish, please contact the high school you were enrolled in the year before you go on to school.
Those who have been hired by reservation recruitment (recruitment candidates) will be officially decided by submitting a notice of enrollment after entering university.

  • For the required documents, please contact the high school you are enrolled in.
  • The procedures after entering the university will be guided to the students.
Enrollment

Application for "after entering university"

This is a system to apply after entering university. We will be recruiting in early April. Unfortunately, those who have not been hired due to reservation recruitment can also apply again. If you wish, please submit the required documents (see below) to the university.
In addition, please be sure to attend the briefing session for prospective applicants in early April.

Documents required for application "after entering university" (Required documents vary depending on the year and application details.) For details, please refer to the following URL.

  1. Confirmation Form (and Consent Form)
  2. The original scalarnet input draft form (filled in the contents)
  3. Copy of scalarnet input draft form (filled in contents) (copy of 2)
  4. A copy of the bankbook (cover, etc.) of the scholarship transfer account (name of the student)
  5. Proof of income (only applicable persons)
  6. Transcripts from high schools (first-class scholarships and combined loan applicants for first-year and third-year transfer students who wish to receive benefits and loan)
  7. Proof of special deduction (only applicable persons)
  8. Application documents for special increase loan scholarship at the time of admission (only for applicants)
  9. Out-of-home commuting certificate (only for applicants for scholarships)
  • My Number Submission Form → Submit directly to the Japan Student Services Organization

Sudden household adoption

Emergency application…Reduction of scholarships and tuition fees

This system applies when households suddenly change due to unforeseen reasons and urgent support is needed before the income status after the sudden change is reflected in the resident tax information.

    Application deadline
  • Within 3 months from the occurrence of sudden household change
  • If the sudden change in household budget occurred 15 months before enrollment (including the promotion of the 4th year of college of technology) (if the enrollment is April, January of the year before enrollment) and before the month before enrollment In such cases, within 3 months after enrollment
