Study Abroad (Temporary Study Abroad)
Dispatched study abroad is to study abroad at partner universities overseas while enrolled at OIST for one semester (1 semester) to one year (2 semesters). This study period is included in the 4-year study period.
In addition, credits earned at the host university will be certified as credits for university courses through the prescribed procedures after returning to Japan. The application period is as follows. (Refer to Table 1 and Table 2)
In order to apply for temporary study abroad at each university, there are conditions such as necessary qualifications and language level.
If you are selected as a temporary student, you will also participate in the Global Mission Program.

Determination time of dispatched students and eligibility for application
(1)Determination of dispatched students
1.First term student decision
- Application period: October 1 to November 20
- Date of selection test: From November 20 to December 5 (written test and interview test)
- Determination of Dispatched Students: 4th week of December

Application Guidelines
Submit the following documents to International Exchange Center by the application deadline
- Student Application Form (○ English ○ Chinese ○ Korean)
- Reason for Application for Dispatched Students (up to 800 characters)
- Self-recommendation (within 400 words)
- Documents to prove the required language level
(At the time of application, temporary acceptance is possible with the examination card of the qualification examination. However, it is necessary to submit a notification of the results before the interview test. ) - Application for Study Abroad Permit
