German expression in Kant -About the language characteristics of human-respect thought Lecturer: Takahiro Kirihara Professor, Shimonoseki City University Immanuel Kant (1724-1804)'s idea of "Würde der Person" is the philosophical basis for "Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar" in Article 1, Paragraph 1 of the German Basic Law, and also serves as a stall for respect for human (humanity) and respect for human rights, which became the national policy of post-war Germany. We try to portray the character of Kant's philosophy by extracting Kant's German sentences from passages in which this idea was described (The Foundation of Metaphysics of Humanities, 1785) and other related texts, and analyzing its characteristics (e.g. sound, vocabulary, grammatical, etc.). |
