#LecturesIan Mackay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, held a lecture.
On January 25, 2024, Ambassador Ian Mackay held a lecture at Shimonoseki City University's Lecture Block B 303 class. This lecture was organized by the Rotary Club of Shimonoseki Central, and co-hosted by the Rotary Club of Shimo Kansai and Gifu University.
Ambassador Ian Mackay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan, was studying at Shimonoseki Daiichi High School (Shimonoseki Secondary School) as a study abroad program supported by Rotary International in high school. At the lecture, he talked about memories of that time with slides, and talked a lot about the events since he was transferred to Japan as an ambassador, the wide range of connections between Japan and Canada, as well as its importance.
During the Q&A session with the Ambassador, students from other universities, including students from TUFS and citizens, were very carefully answered.
The lecture was attended by many visitors from both inside and outside the university, and ended with a great success.
