The "Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet" is held by 16 members of the Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Association for the purpose of mutual friendship between universities through sports. Gifu University is in charge of the Karate Competition Division, and on Sunday, December 1, 2024 the Autumn Meeting was held at the SDS Shimonoseki Driving Arena (Shimonoseki City University Gymnasium).

　On the day of the event, 4 universities participated, and 3 boys participated from the karate club of Gifu University. While teaching the seniors of the OB Federation who rushed as judges, he played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all of them worked together to run the tournament.

　The main results of the university's players are as follows.

・Men's group Kumite runner-up Shimonoseki City University

・Chiya Komiyama (1st year in Department of Economics)

　This tournament is scheduled to be held twice in the spring and autumn next year, and it is expected that the karate club will continue to play an active role.
