On October 7, 2025, Shimonoseki City University entered into a student-research exchange agreement with the University of Hradec Králové. This visit follows the MoU signing ceremony at EDU Day, which was held at the Expo Czech Pavilion in Osaka in July of the same year. The signing ceremony was held in a peaceful and promising atmosphere, laying the foundation for new academic and cultural cooperation.

Founded in 1959, Fradez Krarove University is a national university with the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Information Management, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Science, etc., and has developed as a hub for knowledge in local Czech cities. We are also active in international exchange and have built a network with many universities around the world.

Under this agreement, both universities will promote student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research, etc. In particular, 2026 will be the first year under this agreement, and a commemorative event will be held in the fall.

This partnership will not only be a mere institutional collaboration, but will also serve as a bridge between researchers and students from both countries to share culture and knowledge and create new academic value.
