#International exchangeChallenges to the Global Challenges of Food, Environment and Sustainability – Through the International Co-creation Network
On October 8, 2025, Shimonoseki City University signed an inter-university exchange agreement with Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). At the signing ceremony held in Prague, there was a lively exchange of views on the possibility of cooperation in the fields of education, research and industry.
Founded in 1906, CZU is one of the leading universities in the Czech Republic with over 20,000 students, with a global reputation for agriculture, environmental science, forestry and sustainability research.
In addition, it is ranked 801–1000th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, and is ranked among the top 3% of the world’s universities.
We are currently considering establishing a new course in the field of agrifood (agriculture and food), and collaboration with CZU in this field is extremely natural. In the future, we plan to conduct joint research and student exchange focusing on sustainable food production, environmental conservation, and biotechnology.
This agreement is the first step in building an international co-creation network to address the global challenges of food, environment and sustainability.
