#LecturesA special lecture was given by Keisuke Mukunashi, visiting professor
The University offers special lectures by visiting professors in Faculty of Economics’s Financial Theory II with the aim of providing practical knowledge to students.
This year, the third special lecture was held on November 5 (Wednesday), following last year and the previous year.
The lecture was given by Keisuke Mukuri, President and CEO of Yamaguchi Financial Group, Inc., and visiting professor at NAIST, as a lecturer, and gave a lecture entitled "Bank Management and YMfg Strategy".
From the perspective of bank managers, they explained that they linked the textbook understanding of financial theory with real local bank management and practice, and students learned new knowledge and practical content that they rarely touch in everyday classes. A question-and-answer session was held on questions from the students, and at the end, a visiting professor Mukunashi gave the students a hot message saying, "I want you to see the world and broaden your horizons."
From the students who participated,
"I reaffirmed the importance of constantly learning and changing without being bound by past success experiences."
"I was very interested in providing manufacturing support beyond the framework of banking operations, and in implementing the 'Daishu Co-Lifestyle Business Model' that shares destiny with the region through search funds."
"I was impressed by the attitude of focusing not only on shareholders but also on relationships with various stakeholders such as local communities and employees."
It was very well received.
This lecture was a very meaningful time for students to realize the dynamism of finance and think about their careers and how to interact with the community.
