At 13:30 on June 16, 2016, a ceremony was held at the large conference room on the 5th floor of the Main Building II, and the title of Professor Emeritus was awarded to former Professor Seiichi Michimori and former Professor Kenji Kimura, who retired on March 31, 2016. Professor Michimori was absent due to circumstances.

　President introduced his efforts in education and research at TUFS, and in terms of research, he expressed his appreciation for modern Japanese economic history at academic conferences.

　From Professor Emeritus Kimura, it is important to have enough time for anything, and if you do not have enough time, you will not be able to do good research. He said that he would like to continue his research activities.

　Thank you very much for your efforts in our education for a long time. Please continue to support Shimonoseki City University.
