Citizen's University Symposium
Do you know "town station"? (finished)
Let's think about community development together
This year's civic university will consider initiatives for regional revitalization through tourism, exchange, and community development, and the creation of bases for that purpose. In particular, as a unique means of regional revitalization, we will focus on “Machino Station”, which has been developed mainly in Fukuoka Prefecture in recent years, and has been working on in Hagi since June this year in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Part 1 introduces the concept of "Machino Station" and initiatives in the Amagi Asakura area, Fukuoka Prefecture, which has installed and operated nearly 70 "Machino Stations" as successful examples. In Part 2, we will introduce the forefront initiatives for sightseeing, exchange, and revitalization of the central city area in Shimonoseki. In the panel discussion in Part 3, we will discuss the revitalization of the Shimonoseki area through sightseeing, exchange, and community development with instructors in Part 1 and Part 2, with the faculty members of the University as coordinators. In Part 4, with instructors, we will hold an exchange meeting to exchange community improvement groups and individuals in Shimonoseki City and Yamaguchi Prefecture.
