Effective utilization of unused areas of whales -Industry-academia initiatives aimed at commercialization Lecturer: KISHIMOTO Mitsuhiro Professor Faculty of Economics In commercial whaling, which was reopened for the first time in 31 years in 2019, there is a social mission not only to put whaling on a profitable basis but also to work on initiatives in line with the SDGs. It is required to make effective use of the residues that have been discarded before (such as skins other than the edible portion) and to work on new commercialization.
