Current research theme
We have been conducting research that leads to bridging research and personalized therapy, focusing on statistical consulting for medical research, including application of statistical and data science methods to gastrointestinal cancer research and clinical trials. Utilizing the experience and network of joint research with medical and research institutes, IT/pharmaceutical companies, etc., we are promoting research on the theory culture.
We also participated in the Life Intelligence Consortium (LINC)*, and are conducting research activities in industry, government, academia, and government as a representative and contributor to joint research such as "Building a nationwide digital health data infrastructure", "Individualizing medication/nutrition guidance", "Cost-benefit analysis of pharmaceuticals using real-world data using electronic medical record information" and "Riku routing efficiency of clinical trial patients".
*All Japan Consortium was established in November 2016 by Kyoto University, RIKEN, Pharmaceutical Infrastructure, Health and Nutrition Research Institute, etc. for the purpose of developing AI and big data in the life sciences related to pharmaceutical, chemical, food, medical, and health care, and incorporated in April 2021.

Classes and Seminars
My seminar
Understanding phenomena, solving problems, and creating value through the approach of data science (data science)
・Take care of your colleagues in the laboratory.
・You can clearly explain your research agenda and research plan in your own words.
・You can engage in research independently.
・Understanding and evaluating other people's research.
・We will empower non-specialists in this field to explain clearly.
・To acquire the ability from data science perspective to solving problems.
While valuing our values, we are working hard toward empirical graduation research on understanding phenomena, problem solving, and value creation through data design (planning), collection, and analysis of data science (data science) approaches to various issues in research fields of interest.
The main pillars are "Human resources who can think of research from a statistical and data science perspective", "Basic research on statistical and data science methods", and "Applied research that can be utilized in the fields of natural and humanities and social sciences".
