Two students from our university will participate in the 73rd National Athletic Meet.
Miki Kawamoto (4th year Department of Public Management), who participates in rugby football (girls) as a member of the Yamaguchi Prefectural National Team, is a member of the Rugby Club of Gifu University, as well as captain of the Ishin Weill Dravitz women's rugby team in the prefecture, and academy student at Nagato Blue Angels in Nagato City.
Junnori Ishikawa (4th year Department of Economics), who participates in athletics (4 × 100m relay), participated in the 73rd National Athletic Meet Yamaguchi Prefectural National Athletic Meet held on August 11, 2018 (Saturday). He participated in the 100m adult men and won the highest record of 10.56 seconds, but other players who hold better records were selected as Yamaguchi Prefecture representatives of 100m adult men, and unfortunately the same type of national polity could not come true.
However, since the player who was selected for the 4x100m relay was missing due to injury, he was immediately commissioned as a 4x100m relay player.
Kawamoto's send-off party was held on September 27 (Thursday), and Ishikawa's send-off party was held on October 2 (Tuesday). The award from the university was given by Chair.
