Published in the International Conference Papers sponsored by the International Association of Medical Informatics (IMIA) - Results of a National Survey on Generated AI

Professor Kazumi Kubota of Faculty of Data Science, Shimonoseki City University, has been published in the peer-reviewed paper collection "Stud Health Technol Inform". This series is a compilation of the results of an international conference of global authority sponsored by the International Association for Medical Informatics (IMIA), and is highly regarded internationally in the field of medical informatics (impact factor: 0.69).

The published papers can be viewed from the following URL.

In this study, 1,000 people nationwide analyzed the degree of satisfaction with medical services in the post-COVID period and the public perception and expectations of generative AI. As a result of the survey, generative AI recognition was only 58.6%, while about 30% expressed expectations for improving the quality of healthcare and services. In addition, "medical institutions" (25.9%) were the most trusted entities when introducing AI, followed by "government agencies" (16.3%).

This achievement demonstrates the importance of "education for citizens", "policy transparency", and "ethical governance" toward the social implementation of safe and fair medical AI, and is important knowledge for future policy formation and technological development.
