— Visit to Muhammadia Malang University, Indonesia —
On November 5, 2025 (Wednesday), the delegation of Shimonoseki City University officially visited the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in Indonesia.

The signing ceremony of the Comprehensive Agreement (MoU) on Academic Exchange between the two universities was held, and Shimonoseki City University and President HAN Changwan signed. At the meeting, participants exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation in education and research, and confirmed specific initiatives for accepting students from Indonesia and promoting joint research.

In addition, the opening ceremony of the Japan Academic Academic Center (Shimonoseki City University) was held on the same day as a new base for international education, research and cultural exchange between the two universities. The Center was established with the aim of promoting Japanese language education, introducing Japanese culture, and promoting regional and international joint research, and is expected to become a symbol of collaboration between Shimonoseki City University and Muhammadia Malang University.

This visit was a major step forward for Shimonoseki City University to expand its academic network with Indonesia, and it was an important milestone for deepening education, research and cultural exchange in Asia.
