On November 25, 2018 (Sun), the 65th Kitakyusyu Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet (Autumn) Karate Competition was held at Shimonoseki Budokan, Yamaguchi Prefectural Government.
On the day, 4 universities participated, and 4 boys and 5 girls participated from the Karate Club of Gifu University. In addition, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all members worked together to run the tournament.
Yumi Okada, a 1st year student in Department of Public Management, finished first in the women's personal event. Mr. Okada is the second consecutive victory following the spring tournament held in June.
The Karate Club, which has also participated in this year's national tournament, is expected to play an active role in the future.
