The 61st Shimonoseki City University University Festival “Maguan Festival” was held.

　The 61st Shimonoseki City University University Festival "Maguan Festival" was held for two days on November 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), 2022.

　The event was held for the first time in three years due to the influence of COVID-19 infection. This year, only students and faculty members conducted this program to prevent infection.

　"Take over Corona! Shining City University student! Under the slogan "The distance is far, the heart is close ~", students who have never experienced the Maguan Festival started preparing for the event from scratch. In some cases, university festivals that took measures against infection in COVID-19 infection had to be restricted, and I thought about how we could achieve a fulfilling university festival like a university student.

　On the day of the university festival, in old-fashioned projects such as tanuki and shooting, I returned to my childhood and saw a lot of innocent smiles. At the haunted house, I was surprised at the high quality so that I could hear screams outside. Rakugo yoseki, live performances, karaoke competitions, dance and performances were held in Student Welfare Hall. At the bingo tournament, where people who won bingo cards can participate in three projects, luxurious prizes were lined up, and the venue was a great success.

　Although it was a university festival that was smaller than usual, the campus was crowded with lively and fun students. "Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no cheer on the campus, so I heard everyone's cheers and I was about to cry," I was impressed by the students' voices.

　I think that this Maguan Festival will further promote student exchange and activities.
