Professor Asako Ishikawa visited the President Office with two books published this year. Both are books written by the group as a result of the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
"Learning Places for Foreign Students: Focusing on Various Learning Places" (edited by Kazutaka Sasaki and Matsuo Tamaki) is a high school and local community that are working on issues facing Japan and excellent initiatives for education for junior and senior high school students from foreign countries. It is written mainly in cooperation with colleagues at Utsunomiya University.
"High School in Osaka with Foreign Students: Transformation in School Culture and the Life Course for Graduates" (edited by Kosuke Yamamoto and En Enai) is a sister book that followed ten years after "Newcomer Living in High School", which was published for the first time as a graduate student by Professor Ishikawa. This book introduces the advanced initiatives being carried out in Osaka and how the newcomers (foreign immigrants) who have received support have spent their 10 years and have developed their careers after graduating from high school.
"I'm very impressed that I was able to get involved in the research I was involved in when I was a graduate student again 10 years later," Ishikawa said with a smile.

President Han also said, "I think it's wonderful to have research colleagues who can cooperate and conduct joint research. I would like to continue supporting the university as a university so that teachers can do research useful for society. "
