On July 18 (Tuesday), the “International Joint Research Report Meeting” was held by the Urban Mirai Creation Strategy Organization.
As a university located in the port city of Shimonoseki, international joint research is being conducted as a university located in the port city of Shimonoseki, to work with industry and the government to strengthen the functions of international logistics bases and the production of internationally active human resources.
Professor Yuji Takeuchi (Director of Urban Mirai Creation Strategic Organization) started research in 2022 with Daegu University in South Korea on the theme of "Current Situation and Future of Shimonoseki City Aiming to become a logistics base overseas" in collaboration with Daegu University in South Korea.
At the debriefing session, Professor Takeuchi presented the results up to the previous fiscal year on the possibility of a new route between Japan and Korea, especially the possibility of Shimonoseki City to become Japan's host city.
The debriefing session was attended by a large number of citizens, including the Director of the Port and Harbor Bureau of Shimonoseki City, attended the briefing session and listened to Professor Takeuchi's presentation.
