#Seminar activitiesWe participated in the 13th Joint Seminar Report Meeting of the University of Nagasaki.
Nagahama Seminar participated in the 13th Joint Seminar Report Meeting held at the University of Nagasaki Sasebo on December 21 (Saturday). This time, 10 seminars participated and presented their daily research results. The report time is 25 minutes and the question is 10 minutes, and it is necessary to prepare well.
We published one-year research results on two themes: "Disasters in History: Focus on Resilience and Vulnerability" and "LGBT in History." In the scoring at the peer review, I was unfortunately not selected as an excellent report, but I made every effort to do my best. Teachers from the University of Nagasaki Sasebo School also commented that "The questions of students at Shimonoseki City University were outstanding in both quality and quantity." The students also seemed to be very inspired by listening to different research reports in different fields.
Here are some of the participants' comments. "The first is the difficulty of group activities. When there was a difference in motivation within the group, I had a hard time deciding how to proceed. It's a simple story to say that if you're not motivated, quit. However, I thought it had compromised our group activities. The second is the ability to think logically. I think I've been away from reading for a long time. Through my research, I was deeply aware of my weaknesses. Recently, I try to take 30 minutes of reading before going to bed. The purpose is to make reading a habit." In this way, through seminar activities, you will be able to notice your weaknesses and lead to future growth.
Before and after the debriefing session, I also touched on the porcelain industry in Arida and Hasami. Through painting experiences and tours of the museum, it was time to think about the meaning of local traditional industries that I do not usually touch. By touching on how to show and sell them at stores, it seemed that it was a different way to learn economic and management from the university. In addition, the fourth graders also actively supported me, and I feel that the team strength has increased significantly. It was also impressive that the graduates also participated on the way and talked about the difficulties and fun of working adults.
Last but not least, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those involved in the University of Nagasaki and all those who have responded in various regions for their support in the growth of the students.
