Ten years have passed since the whale reference room was set up at Shimonoseki City University in 2007, and has played a certain role in contributing to the local community for the whale town Shimonoseki. Therefore, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the archives, it is a pillar of the collection and research of the archives. A symposium aimed at returning and contributing to the community will be held as follows.
