The 64th Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet Autumn Karate Competition was held.

 On November 26, 2017 (Sun), the autumn tournament of the "Kitakyusyu / Shimonoseki District University Athletic Meet (Autumn) Karate Competition" was held at Shimonoseki Budokan, Yamaguchi Prefectural Shimonoseki Budokan.

 On the day of the event, there were 7 boys and 5 girls from the Karate Club of Kyushu University. In addition, members other than the players also played a role in setting up the venue and proceeding, and all of them worked together to run the tournament.

 The main results of the university's players are as follows.

 ・Ryotaro Nishimatsu (2nd year in Department of Economics)
            Kajiyama Hiroshi (2nd year in Department of Economics)
            Ryosuke Murai (2nd year in Department of Public Management)
            Riku Tsujida (1st year in Department of Economics)
            Takuma Yamada (1st year in Department of International Commerce)
 ・Hiro Kajiyama (2nd year in Department of Economics)
         Ryotaro Nishimatsu (2nd year in Department of Economics)
 ・Maki Yanagimoto (2nd year in Department of International Commerce)
 ・Daimasa Fujii (1st year in Department of International Commerce)
         2nd place Kajiyama (Department of Economics 2nd year)

 In this tournament, five athletes participated in women's individual kumite who had no participants from OIST for more than 10 years, and one of them won second place. In addition, boys have achieved three consecutive victories since last year's autumn tournament in group kumite, winning 1.2th place in personal form and second place in individual kumite, winning momentum.
 It is expected that the Karatedo Club will continue to play an active role in the future.
