Shimonoseki City University Circle "Japan Heritage Exploration Q Meeting" wants to convey the charm of Roku Islands in Shimonoseki City "Growth Story Vol.2-I want to convey the charm of Roku Islands! From the perspective of university students, the good times of the island ~ ".

On the evening of July 20, 2018, 10 members of the Shimonoseki City University Japan Heritage Exploration Q Society and one faculty member of the University of Shimonoseki City University's Japan Heritage Exploration Q Society and one faculty member of TUFS gave a lot of guidance and consideration to the people of the Rokure Islands, where one of the cultural properties of the Japanese heritage "Kanmon" Nostalgic Straits" on the evening of July 20, 2018. From the perspective of university students, the good times of the island ~ ". Two staff members came from the Shimonoseki City Board of Education Cultural Property Protection Division, who linked the Roku Islands with the Japan Heritage Exploration Q Meeting, also came.

At the meetinghouse on the island right in front of the port, while showing the printed materials of the completed pamphlet, the students presented their explanations and ideas for about 20 minutes, and then held a question and answer session for about 40 minutes. Was. The islanders and the staff of the City Board of Education gave us a lot of opinions and advice, as well as what they did not notice when they were making pamphlets and corrections. The students seemed to think that they had to make corrections and improvements to reflect them in order to create a real completed version.

After the debriefing session, the islanders prepared a barbecue, baked and ate sazae, abalone, meat, etc., and also served as a rice ball of Rokure Island's specialty `` Hijiki rice '', handmade island boiled dishes, etc. We gave it out, and we all had a friendly atmosphere. Some of the students ate Sazae for the first time, and I was impressed by the feast of the island. Thank you very much for your meal.

After the exchange meeting, we walked on the night road with a flashlight light with the guidance of the island to take a photo of the night view from the Roku Islands listed in the pamphlet, and headed to the hill. Upon arrival, there was a night view that could be overlooked not only Shimonoseki but also Kitakyusyu, and the students fell in love with the glittering night view and cheered. It seems that not only the camera shutter but also the "heart shutter" was pushed a lot.

Returning to the meetinghouse, the students visited the island many times for fieldwork and surveys to create pamphlets and thank them for their many cooperation, consideration and kindness received from the islanders. Was. And we took a commemorative photo with everyone.

Thank you to everyone on the island!! !

It seems that the students will continue to value this relationship and engage in the Roku Islands in some way.

The circle plans to finalize the pamphlet by the end of July. In addition, we hope to be able to help with some kind of community development at island events such as a tour of the Roku Islands Lighthouse, scheduled for November 3.

A part of what the students felt through a series of Rokure Islands fieldwork is introduced on the website of the Japan Heritage Exploration Q Society (July 23, 2018 "Edit Postscript-Let's Make a Rokure Island Brochure") . Please take a look at it (https://shidai-nikkyu.amebaownd.com/posts/4596521).
