In 2018, we held the theme lecture "Thinking about the role of universities for regional revitalization from Shimonoseki"

　Saturday, October 20, 2018 13:30-15:30 Held the theme lecture "Thinking about the Role of the University for Regional Revitalization from Shimonoseki" at the 2nd floor I-206 classroom on the 2nd floor of the main building.

　In order to examine the potential of universities for regional revitalization in this course, the keynote speech of Part 1 was titled "The Role of Universities for Regional Revitalization" by Takashi Onishi of President, Toyohashi University of Technology. All the participants listened enthusiastically.

　In the second part of the panel discussion, we invited Miki Sasaki, Director of Shimonoseki City Urban Development Department, Yoshifumi Takahashi, associate professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University Graduate School, and Daisuke Nakamura, associate professor of the Faculty of International Arts and Sciences, Fukuoka Women's University, to discuss the potential of a university as a regional think tank under the direction of Associate Professor SUGA Masashi.

　Many citizens participated in the course, and enthusiastic questions were asked, indicating the high interest in regional revitalization, and the curtain closed successfully.
