Conducted disaster prevention drills

 Disaster prevention drills were conducted on September 21, 2018 (Friday).

 Under the guidance of Shimonoseki City North Fire Department, about 150 people participated in the training. In addition, residents of the local Daigakucho Residents' Association and residents of the Shonocho Residents' Association also participated in the training for the first time.

 Assuming that the fire incident was caused by the earthquake, the evacuation guidance team that guides people on campus plazas in evacuation site, and a rescue team for transporting injured persons and performing first aid measures.

 As outdoor activities, fire drills using water fire extinguishers and water discharge drills using indoor fire hydrants were conducted.

 According to officials, Shimonoseki is a region with relatively few disasters, but coastal areas may be hit by a tsunami caused by the Nankai megathrust earthquake. He was instructed to know what to do in the event of a disaster and what facilities are available on a daily basis.
