Two students from Okayama University will participate in the 73rd National Athletic Meet.
Miki Kawamoto (4th year in Department of Public Management), who participates in rugby football (women) as a member of the Yamaguchi Prefectural National Team, has been active as a rugby player both inside and outside the university, including the captain of the Ishin Weirdra Bits, a female rugby team in the prefecture, and as an Academy student at Nagato Blue Angels in Nagato City.
Junnori Ishikawa (4th year in Department of Economics), who participates in athletics (4x100m relay) will participate in the 73rd National Athletic Athletics Yamaguchi Prefecture National Team Final Selection Meeting held on August 11, 2018 (Saturday). He participated in 100m and won the self-highest record of 10.56 seconds, but other players holding better records were not selected as 100m Yamaguchi Prefectural National Team, and unfortunately the same type of national polity.
However, the players selected for the 4x100m relay were missing due to injury, so they were immediately commissioned as a 4x100m relay player.
On campus, Kawamoto held a farewell party for Kawamoto on September 27 and Ishikawa on October 2 (Tue) and Ishikawa on October 2 (Tuesday), and Chair received the prize money from the university.
