On March 14, 2019 (Thursday), the 6th Fuku Reference Room Fugu Symposium was held in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of Karato-ichiba.

　The Committee for Inbound Consumption Revitalization Utilizing Shimonoseki Pufferfish was held three times in August, October 2018, and January 2019. A report was prepared based on what was discussed at the Review Committee. This symposium was also held to widely inform the various proposals written in the report.

　In the first part of the lecture, Professor Hidetsugu Hamada of TUFS gave a lecture entitled "Regional Revitalization through Inbound Measures Using Shimonoseki Fugu". Professor Hiroshi Yokoyama of TUFS gave a lecture on "Latest Analysis and Problems on Fugu Consumption", which was conducted mainly by Professor Hiroshi Yokoyama of Gifu University.

　In the second part of the panel discussion, entitled "Shimonoseki Fugu and Regional Revitalization", Professor Hidetsugu Hamada and Professor Hiroshi Yokoyama, Toshitaka Mochizuki, Representative Director of Kawahisa Co., Ltd., and Minato Yamaguchi Godo Shimbun Chugoku Branch Co., Ltd. A panel discussion was held with two members.

　All the participants listened very enthusiastically to various proposals for regional revitalization utilizing Shimonoseki pufferfish, and it was a fruitful symposium.

　Fuku Reference Room, together with the Whale Reference Room, will contribute to the community by further energizing research and research and enhancing the materials in the future. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
