On July 10, 2019 (Wednesday), the Open Lecture “Basic Knowledge on Distribution: A New Phase of Competition between Retail Business” was held at the I-201 classroom on the 2nd floor of the Main Building of the University of Tokyo.

　Professor Yukihiro Mori of Department of International Commerce, Faculty of Economics, gave a basic explanation of what distribution is and what economic activity it is, and explained today's trends in "inter-regional competition" and especially the movement of "real retail business" to the rapid development of online shopping. All the participants listened enthusiastically. After the course, opinions were exchanged between the participants and the lecturer, and the course was very fulfilling.

　This is the last public course of the public university in the spring semester of 2019, but courses are also available in the fall semester. We will inform you at a later date. We look forward to your participation.
