#Seminar activities

Sato (Yu) Seminar conducted fieldwork (Mojiko).

On April 24 (Wednesday), Sato (Yu) seminar conducted fieldwork.

Sato (Yu) Seminar (Specialized Exercise I), we visit scenic spots and museums around Shimonoseki every year in the spring of the third year. This year, we visited Mojiko Station, where the restoration work was completed and opened on March 10, 2019, and the Kanmon Straits Rab Museum of Western Marine Accident Prevention Association, where you can learn about Kanmon Straits.
At the Kanmon Straits Rive Museum, they gave a lecture on the outline of the activities of the Western Marine Accident Prevention Association and explained how to protect the sea in Kanmon Straits. I learned that the safety of Kanmon Straits's navigation is protected by a variety of mechanisms, including live cameras, automatic ship identification devices (AIS), and meeting coordination systems.
I would like students to experience the importance and fun of gaining live information using their feet, such as going to the site and seeing them, listening to the people involved.

Thank you very much for your cooperation in the Western Marine Prevention Association.
