Student voluntary circle "Japan Heritage Exploration Q Meeting" conducted fieldwork on the Roku Islands.

On June 16, 2019 (Sunday), five students from the Japan Heritage Exploration Q Society were newly interested in this Rokure Island fieldwork and the staff of the Shimonoseki City Board of Education. Together with the staff of the Cultural Property Protection Division, we conducted a fieldwork survey on the Roku Islands, continuing from last year. On the Roku Islands in Shimonoseki City, there is the Roku Islands Lighthouse, one of the constituent cultural properties of Japanese heritage jointly recognized by Kitakyushu City and Shimonoseki City. I visited and took care of the residents' associations very much. We will continue to interact with each other this year.

In the first half, I went around the island for about three hours while introducing the Rokure Islands to three City University students who visited the island for the first time. After lunch at a rest area on the island, we rented a public hall in the second half, and introduced the club activities so far to the three people who participated for the first time.

I have visited many times, and while being healed by the scenery of the island that has not changed for a long time, I found new issues on how to promote the island in the future. In particular, farmers who grow gerberra requested that "I want more people to know more about the island's flowers as a specialty!" I would like to talk in the circle so that I can propose about activation.

On my way home, I received a lot of cut flowers of gerberra and eustoma cultivated on the island. It was very beautiful.
