Participated in the final report session of Yamaguchi Future Ishinjuku School in FY2019

On December 26 (Thursday), the Yamaguchi Prefectural Office held a final debriefing session for Yamaguchi Future Ishinjuku was held at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Office, with five students participating.

The students of Okayama University gave a presentation titled "<Closed School x Saikou> Project: Connecting Yamaguchi and the World from Closed Schools to Yamaguchi." The rough content is to reuse closed schools and lend it to educational YouTubers and artists, etc., making it possible to visit classes, open exhibitions, etc., and make it public to local people. I want to stop the collapse of the local community. By the way, the title "Saikou" expresses the idea of "rethinking" local issues, "revive" closed schools and areas, and making Yamaguchi Prefecture the "best" area.

In response to the student's presentation, Tsugumasa Muraoka, Governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture, said, "It is good that there are not only about utilizing closed schools, but also ideas that will be enjoyed by local people. In addition, the appeal of the area may be transmitted depending on the people who use it. " Thank you very much for your kind comments.

After the presentation, an exchange meeting was held, and each school mixed together to form a group and looked back on this program and presentation. Finally, the representatives of each school made a commitment to the future. The university's representative student stated his determination to "in order to realize my aspirations, I would like to continue working hard so that my thoughts and ideas can be properly delivered to the people around me, not to be alone or imposing myself." I thought this was because the field survey conducted in October was triggered (we received advice such as "Can you imagine human behavior accompanying your proposal?").

The students seemed to be inspired by the presentations from other schools, and they recognized each other's wonderfulness at the exchange meeting. Through this program, I think we were able to meet good friends. This year's program is over, but I hope that students will continue to take on the challenge of meeting with aspiring friends.
