#Open Lecture

Citizen's University Open Lecture "Sociology of People and Wildlife" has been opened.

On November 18th (Wednesday), an open lecture on the Citizen's University Open Lecture “Social Sciences of People and Wildlife: Examples of Damage to Wild and Mountain Villages” was held online.

Junko Fukumoto, a specially appointed professor at Faculty of Economics University, gave a lecture on Japan, where the relationship between humans and wildlife has changed and damage caused by birds and animals is becoming more serious. The lecture proceeded with the history of wildlife in the modern era, and giving specific examples of how people living in rural villages are dealing with bird and animal damage while gaining specific examples. Although it was held online using Zoom, I was able to give lectures in a homely atmosphere. The students listened enthusiastically to them. It was very fruitful, with not only speaking unilaterally but also having time for questions and answers.
