On October 21 (Wed.) and 22 (Thu), 15 students from Yamaguchi Prefectural Shimonoseki Secondary School (2nd year high school students) visited Okayama University and presented their research.
This is a high-university collaboration initiative in which the students at Shimonoseki Secondary School, set assignments and research conducted from a multifaceted perspective over the course of one year.
This year, President Kawanami, Vice President Korea, Prof. Kanado, Prof. Suga, Associate Professor Sugiura, and Prof. Takeuchi gave advice to all five students, but the level of the students was high. Was so surprised.
On the day of the event, Kenshi Wada, the third head of the Kappo cuisine Ryokan Toshimi Reli (Sumire), visited us and provided advice from a professional perspective.
The students seemed to have achieved great results, saying, "I received advice from a perspective they didn't think" and "I got a lot of new awareness."
Students will complete their research papers based on this advice in the future.
We hope that this visit will lead to a further leap forward for the students.
