[Report: Industry-Government-Academia Study] Research on Securing Welfare Human Resources - Focusing on Shimonoseki City

Reporter: Prof. Toshimitsu Nanba
Collaborative Research Representative: Professor Yumiko Tanaka

Overview:
With the declining birthrate and aging population in Japan, we are in a situation where we can secure welfare personnel. Particularly in the Chugoku region, the shortage of welfare-related staff (especially care workers) may be a major problem. In Shimonoseki City, it is necessary to further train welfare-related workers in response to the remarkable population decline and the super-aging society. With the above social situation in mind, we will grasp the activities of welfare-related facilities in Shimonoseki City and the activities of Shimonoseki City Hall, and report that can be reflected in administrative measures.
