Hougu Symposium (online) was held.

A puffer fish symposium (online) was held on February 9 (Wednesday).
This symposium was held online, entitled "Towards the Restoration of the Shimonoseki Fuku Brand".
Shugo Watabe, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and Specially Appointed Professor Shugo Watabe, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and Specially Appointed Professor Takashi Sato of the University of Tokyo and Specially Appointed Professor at the Faculty of Marine Life Sciences, Kitasato University, presented the issue of this symposium.
Dr. Takashi Sato, the general moderator, took the lead and the symposium proceeded. In the first part, individual lectures and reports were given by seven lecturers. Lecturers talked about each theme from various angles.
The second part was a panel discussion on the theme of "Strategic Issues for Reinstatement of the Shimonoseki Fugu brand," and lecturers continued to discuss. There was a question-and-answer session from the participants, and it was a heated panel discussion.
Finally, Dr. Takashi Sato gave the closing remarks, and the session ended. Many people participated despite being held during the daytime on weekdays. We listened to the symposium eagerly and received more valuable opinions and suggestions, and it was a very fruitful symposium.

In fiscal 2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, it was a year of trial and error to return to "daily life." Some events were held online, while others were held to prevent infection, while others were forced to be canceled. In the next fiscal year, we will plan and implement a better way while watching the infection status of Corona. Furthermore, we will focus on regional cooperation and contribute to the local community. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.
