　In order to improve the educational and research environment, OIST started recruiting corporations that wish to become naming rights partners for facilities owned by OIST in January 2022.
　After the recruitment started, Shimonoseki Driving School in Yamaguchi Prefecture applied for naming rights to the gymnasium, and through on-campus procedures, the agreement was concluded on May 20, 2022.
As a result, the name of the gymnasium will be "SDS Shimonoseki Driving Arena" from May 20, 2022 to May 19, 2025.
　In addition, this agreement is the first naming rights agreement of OIST.
