Professor Asako Ishikawa visited the President Office with two books published this year. Both are books written by the group as a result of the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
"Learning Places for Foreign Students: Focusing on Diverse Learning Places" (Kazutaka Sasaki, Matsuo Tamaki) is a high school that is engaged in Japan's issues and outstanding efforts regarding education for junior and senior high school students from foreign countries. This book is a study of local cases. It is mainly written in cooperation with colleagues at Utsunomiya University.
"High School in Osaka Walking with Foreign Students: Transformation of School Culture and Life Courses for Graduates" (Kosuke Yamamoto, Enen Enai) is a sister book that chased 10 years after "Newcomer Living in High School" published by Professor Ishikawa for the first time as a graduate student. This book introduces the advanced initiatives being taken in Osaka and how newcomers (foreign immigrants) who have received support have spent 10 years after graduating from high school and have gained a career.
Ishikawa said with a smile, "I am very impressed that I was able to get involved again in the research I was involved in when I was a graduate student ten years later."

The President of Korea also said, "I think it's wonderful to have colleagues who can cooperate and conduct joint research. I would like to continue to support my teacher so that I can do research useful to society. "
